OUR TEAM
All our Registered Physiotherapists
are University trained, licensed by, and registered with the College Of
Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC), and are members of the Canadian
Physiotherapy Association (CPA) as well as the Physiotherapy Association
of BC (PABC).
Our physiotherapists are
extensively trained with decades of combined experience. They continue
extensive ongoing training in courses and conferences in the areas of
sports medicine (through CASM and SPC), exercise science, orthopedics,
acupuncture, ASTYM, sports specific return to sport rehab, manual therapy,
obstetrics, workplace injuries, chronic pain management, vestibular
rehabilitation, athletic/therapeutic taping as well as other general
courses and conferences that continue to enhance our knowledge base.

Faizal A. Esmail,
Registered Physiotherapist
B.Sc., P.T.,
M.C.P.A

Faizal graduated
from the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Medicine with a
degree in Rehabilitation Medicine, Physical Therapy. He is currently the
Owner, Clinical Director and Practitioner at Port Moody Physiotherapy &
Sports Injury Clinic. He has covered numerous local, provincial, national
and international sporting events including being on the Host Medical Team
for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. He has worked with community, high
school, elite, Olympic and professional calibre athletes designing
prehabilitation and post surgical rehabilitation programs for high
performance athletes. In addition to assessing and treating a wide
variety of members of the community and all ranges of athletes in the
clinic, his clinical passion is on designing and guiding these athletes
through tailored, sports specific programs enabling them to maximize their
performance.
He has played youth soccer ( Burnaby & North Shore), adult soccer (UBC-SL,
VMSL, BSL & PCSL) and futsal (Pro-Am Futsal League) at an elite level for
many years with much success. Many Local, Provincial, Western, National
and International tournaments and championships. He has an extreme passion
and interest in the sport and has been coaching soccer in the community
for the past 6 years, including Development and Gold 1 Teams. Faizal is a
proud father of 2 boys who are deeply immersed in the local soccer and
hockey communities. |

Giancarlo
Brancati,
Registered Physiotherapist

Giancarlo graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2015 with a
Masters of Physical Therapy after completing his Bachelor of Kinesiology
in 2009. He has completed graduate courses in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy
(level 1) and Mulligan concept training, as well as Kinesio-Taping and
Soft Tissue Release. Since graduating he has also worked in settings such
as critical care, orthopaedics and neurological rehabilitation.
Giancarlo
believes that movement is key to your overall wellbeing. That is why he is
passionate about helping clients return to their activities whether it be
sports, work or your daily routine. He is keen to continue his education
in manual therapy and neuromuscular retraining.
When not
working, Giancarlo enjoys playing soccer and Australian Rules Football
competitively; biking, hiking, travelling with his wife or simply relaxing
with a good book when time permits.

Fahim Kara,
Registered Physiotherapist
Fahim
recently graduated with a Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of
British Columbia. From a young age, he has had a passion for sports and
fitness, participating in a variety of sports at all levels. This has
driven his enthusiasm for orthopaedic, manual therapy, and sports
physiotherapy. His post-graduate training includes obtaining his Level 1
orthopaedic manual therapy certification and he plans to continue pursuing
further education in this area. His clinical interests include injury
prevention and rehabilitation; helping people return to the sports,
activities, and hobbies they enjoy.
Fahim enjoys long distance running, soccer, and a variety of racquet
sports (badminton, tennis, and squash). This has motivated his
participation and achievement during the BMO Vancouver Half-Marathon,
Vancouver Sun Run, various tournaments and recreational leagues.

Lindsay McCaw,
Registered Physiotherapist
B.Sc., M.P.T., M.C.P.A
Lindsay
graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science in
Kinesiology in 2007 and then from the University of British Columbia with
a Master of Physical Therapy in 2011. She is currently pursuing her
Manual Therapy Levels through the BC Orthopaedic Division. She has
experience treating a wide variety of orthopaedic conditions and her
special interest includes aiding clients dealing with chronic pain
conditions return to meaningful, productive lives.
In her free time Lindsay loves running, hiking and playing beach
volleyball.

Doreen Mah,
Acupuncturist
Doreen
has been licensed and practising acupuncture since 2002. She graduated
from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Vancouver
as a Doctor of TCM and lived in China for a few months to complete her
practicum in 2003. She embraces the core philosophies of TCM which
acknowledges patients as individuals, as well teaches prevention and
moderation in order to maintain optimal health. Doreen has had much
success in treating various musculoskeletal problems both acute and
chronic, as well as internal type problems such as headaches, digestive
issues, gynaecological issues, fertility/pregnancy related issues, stress,
sleep etc.
Doreen has played collegiate volleyball and
continues to be an avid member of the volleyball community today. Outside
of work she also enjoys chasing her son and daughter on their small
adventures.
